A trip to Canada for Thanksgiving today and swung into the Duty Free on the way back to see if they sold Cubans. And yes they do. Made me as giddy as a school girl on prom night. I didn't have much cash to spare but I did grab a 3 pack of RyJ No. 3's.

Enjoy! Everyone needs to try a few Cubans in their lifetime! For me most are VERY heavy and make me fall asleep after smoking. I find Cuban Fonseca cigars are about the only ones I can enjoy to the nub!

I didn't have much cash to spare but I did grab a 3 pack of RyJ No. 3's. I always got mine from my uncle. The guy would go to Cuba and Mexico and places and wrap his cigars in like christmas wrapping paper with a bowtie and everything. Not too many customs agents are willing to unwrap someones presents. They tend to believe you when you tell them its socks or whatever else in there. Thesedays I get my Cubans wherever I am in my layover to Thailand. DO NOT BUY CUBANS IN JAPAN. Ripoff prices. Thailand is also a bit exorbitant. They have good prices in Europe - Germany, Austria, Hungary, Turkey. Bought a lot of Montecristos, Cohibas, and Romeo y Julietas over there. Last time I spent basically the whole day in Vienna just hanging out in lush gardens in the city centre smoking Montecristos and enjoying the March sun. What an experience.

Congrats on 100. My favorite Cuban is the Montecristo #2. I used to have a US source but that dried up years ago. I have 1 Cohiba left. The B&M does have "legal" Cubans. They're made from tobacco that was imported in 1959 and the rolled in Central America- I forget which country- and then reimported. They retail for about $15.00 and are worth the money for that rare treat. The tobacco sat in a Florida warehouse for nearly 60 years while the estate of the original owner got settled.

RyJ is one of my favorite 6-12$ cigar brands. I'm sure Cubans are even better.

I will give them some time to age well in my humidor before I smoke them. If its anything like the cigarettes I used to buy at the Duty Free, they probably already have some age.

I have friend who lives in Venezuela and comes to the States around the first of each year to visit family and he brings me a box of Cuban Punch Punch cigars a nice smooth full bodied cigar that I've smoked for years. I love 'em
