Last night my darling wife told me that when I'm gone she's going to put some of my pipes and tobacco on a table to remember me by.Then she said but not that stinky ash tray. It's going in the trash where it belongs..Do you have a stinky ash tray? If so what do you suppose it's fate is going to be when you're gone?

I've not got a stinky ash tray, but my stinky cellar will probably get thrown in the bin by my beloved. Unless she goes first, in which case, the cellar will move into the house.

Since I have one of those square red/black Dunhill ashtrays when it's full I just dump it out the wipe it out and voila a fresh clean no stink ashtray! But then, since I live alone theirs no one to complain about anything I do smoking wise !

Well, I do have a big glass ashtray about 8 inches square on the breakfast table thst my wife always puts a magazine over when we eat. I guess that qualifies as stinky. Not to me though.

Larry, keep your ashtray cleaned up every night so it gets to sit next to your pipes and tobacco’s FOREVER!! Plus, your not going anywhere for quite some time, thank God.

I don't like the smell either, so I dump my ash tray and wipe it out after each smoking session. That said, I have two glass ash trays from a restaurant/disco that was down the street from my house when I was growing up. I stumbled across them on eBay one day. They're a bit of nostalgia for me, but will no doubt end up in the bin or at Good Will when I'm gone. Surely not! And it isn't in your house? Where do you keep it, LL?

If I don't empty the one in the garage every night, the next day the smell hits you in the face when you open the door.

...no funky ashtrays here, but I'm starting to think about leaving some kind of record of the value of my cellar and pipes for Valerie and the kids, so they don't get ripped off...

In MY opinion.

I don't know what's not to like; the aroma is divine. Now, I would understand if the room stank of smoke - that's understandable. However, I don't smoke in my office. All I have is the sweet, sweet smell of tobacco.

I actually don't find a pipe ashtray smell objectionable. Now, an ashtray with dead cigar butts is a whole 'nother issue...

Hmmmm . . . I have several of those ‘Stinky’ brand cigar ashtrays. Maybe I can find some kinda lid for the largest one and leave instructions that it be used as my urn.

I have a silicon ash tray that Marlboro sent me one year for my birthday. My dad puts all of his cigarette butts in it until its overflowing. Very rarely do I use it.
Since I normally smoke in the yard or in the shed, my ashes go in the yard. When I smoke a cigar I save the ashes in a pipe tobacco tin. Cigars are about 1-2 times a month so it's not like I have a full tobacco tin of ashes.
