Hey everyone how is all today, what's on everyone's smoking list today? I have wanted to try a new one, please if any have suggestions please feel free to let me know. I called a few sites, just to see, and RiverfrontGifts.com, gave me some suggestions, but still indecisive. What do you long term smokers suggest?

It's hard to recommend blends without knowing your personal preferences. What pipe tobaccos have you liked so far?

Welcome from the Mile High City, Cigarmon. Glad to have you with us. Looks like you currently smoke Half & Half, correct?

Paddy its coming up on the recent threads that you started this thread... anyone else seeing it ? Legend Loveryea, this post was originally in someone else's, 'introduce yourself' thread, which wasn't the right place for it. So I moved it to a new thread. And yes... Welcome to the forum.

Hi if you are currently smoking Half and Half maybe some Carter Hall it is readily available at most smoke shops. If you want to see what everyone is smoking this is the place to look. thebriarpatchforum.com/thread/4916/smoking-october-2018 then you can read reviews on this website using the search. If you need more reviews you could look here www.tobaccoreviews.com/. The folks around here can go from Corn Cob and Codger blends to High end pipes and obscure blends interchangeably so you can feel right at home.

Welcome. I would try a good Virginia flake. Have you had Orlik Golden Sliced? Most any pipe shop will have it.

Hello and welcome! I'll lay out a few of my favorites that are readily available. Englishes: HH Balkan Blend/HH Vintage Syrian(Vintage Syrian was discontinued a year ago but some websites and shops still have tins of it. Balkan Blend is a very similar blend.) Presbyterian Blend Samuel Gawith Skiff Mixture(Not as available as the other two, but not the hardest to come by) Virginia Perique: Solani 633 Straight Virginia: Capstan Flake Blue/Ready Rubbed Blue Wessex Gold Slice Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake

Give Sir Walter Ralieghs aromatic a try. Its a good is say crossover aromatic as it isn't as heavily topped as some, but its definitely an aromatic that has great flavor and room note. Not to mention a hefty dose of vitamin N.

welcome from near Buffalo, NY. Been at it since '62. Any of the OTC basic burley offerings (some mentioned above) might be a good start. There's so many different pipe tobaccos out there in all classifications compared to when I started.....just amazing.
IMO, the above advice posted should help.
Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY at near 78, proud of my "seniority" at least so far)!

I hope some of the suggestions above help you, cigarmon. You can also get sample bags from online retailers (and possible some B&Ms (shops)) so you can have a few different tobaccos to try and get a feel for what works for you and what doesn't.
