These folks don't get talked about as much they deserve. They are a volunteer group of Cajuns who take their boats to flooded areas and help rescue people and animals. They have been here in Carolina for several days giving their time and risking their own lives to help save others. The folks here in Carolina owe them a debt that can't be repaid.

I never knew that, but that's a great thing they're doing.

Doing the right thing should never require donations or turning it into your paying occupation. That being said thousands of men and woman have performed water rescues because it is the tight thing to do. YMMV

Being an Ex-Fireman & EMT I’m familiar with the fearless Cajun Navy and their amazing.....dangerous......thankless water rescues. Many rescuers are put in harms way when people/communities are warned to evacuate to higher grounds but they decide not to take heed in the Governors from a State or Media warnings. Thank you to ALL those people that put their lives on the line on a daily basis.
