Evening all. I am working on restoring a KBB Yello-Bole Chesterfield that I picked up. Most of it is pretty straight forward but am having a little issue with the band. The band has apparently slid up about 1-2mm, but is firmly in place where it is at. I have thoroughly cleaned all the tar/gunk out of the gap. Any suggestions on getting the band back to it original position. Or removing the band and then putting it back into the original position with out damaging the band? Any advise would be much appreciated. Thank you.

THIS ^^^^^^^^^ with a small rubber mallet or wrap a rag on a hammer and tap the band back in place lightly. I recently had the same issue.

Thank you all for the help. I should have have thought of that myself as I have banded a few cracked shanks in the past. Just never used it on an existing band. So I will strap on my heat gun an giver a go.
