My daughter Noel Crane and her SO Mike Scheidt (of the band YOB) sent me a Yamaha Silent Guitar a few months ago... I'm guessing that "silent" is the operative word, lol...

You need to put strings on it to make a sound. 😉
That said... What a lovely gift.

I would have opted for one of those at one time, but I am only able to play instrument synthesizers on my ancient iPad. Love the 12 string

Yamaha makes great stuff. My THR10 is the coolest desk amp ever. I ended up buying all three models so that my friends and I can mess around together when we're porch-drinking in the summer.

I've played those guitars and they are very nice. My only 2 Yamahas are nearly 50 years-old now and both acoustic. They still play great so Yamaha's do stand the test of time.

I thought this thread was gonna be horse hocky ...that's an older model... on mine, the "outline" of the body is some kind of nice wood... and it "hugs" the torso like a Fender Strat...

My father would have liked it if they invented a silent drum set .... Actually they have them. A buddy of mine is a drummer in a band. It’s really incredible what’s out there.

I like acoustic guitars. I had a birth year j-45 that was my favorite til I had to sell it. There are always more guitars. That Yamaha looks nice a great gift!
