I know its a click bait kind of a thread. I apologize.
But i was thinking that if for some reason I could only have one type of pipe, it would be a Savinelli 320.
They seem to me to be the smoking-est pipe I have ever tried.
Second would be my great chimney stacks.
Third my churchwardens.
I wouldn't want to, but if forced, i would trade all my other pipes for Savinelli 320 EXs or KSs.
How about you?

Your jaw would break from having a 3oz pipe clenched all the time lmao. Joke aside, probably any of my Kaywoodies. More so my Flame grain right now though, apparently stingerless models from this year are hard to find.

I have one pipe that is a monster...105grms/3.75oz. that is definitely not a clencher. But it is a beautiful creation by Kirk/Briar Spirit Pipes. It would have to be one of the specials I would grab if in a fire.

A Falcon with about 30 bowls. Technically, that's still only one pipe, right?

I would get by with this Brakner of mine. Good size, form and a comfortable shape. Smokes exceedingly well.

If it was just one it would have to be a meerschaum or a falcon with a block meerschaum bowl.

I am not much of a clencher actually. Not as much as many others. Just a style thing. I like to hold and sip, feel the warmth of the pipe, feel the "line of heat" move down the bowl.
I have a similar way with coffee cups. I often don't use the handle but hold the mug, and feel the warmth.
But it is a sure thing that if you can and do clench, you can get a lot more done while you smoke.

Well, the pipe I would keep before all others would be my Goblet stack. Probably my best smoker of all, plus I like its looks. I could always make more, right? I'd hate not to have all my old Jarls though.

Any one of my 15 Edwatd's pipes. Shape doesn't matter AS THEY all ARE THE best pipes I have ever smoked. Next would be any one of the three Barlings my father bought back in 1946. They like the Edward's were oil cured Algerian briar .

If I stick to the original question and select only one pipe, it would be a Savinelli 320 KS.

That is like asking a grumpy old pipe smoker, Sophia Loren or Ann Margaret? I remember some joke about that. I forget now, hang on... something like: "You would say no to one because you hadn't yet heard from the other."

My most treasured pipes are kept in a modified machinist chest. In case of fire I would grab it and head for the door.
