This is not necessarily pipe related but I guess it sort of is. Where do you go if you want a silver band made that is about 1/2" long with an inside diameter of 3/8"? I want something of decent quality silver. Where do pipe makers go to get there bands?

You might also check with Tim West if Steve doesn't have what you need. www.jhlowe.com/bands.htmIf neither of those guys has what you want or if you need something custom, shoot me a PM. You'll want to be very specific about the size of your band for a proper fit. A fraction of a mm +/- can be the difference between a band that is too small to fit or one that will fall off. Measuring with calipers can help, but most shank ends are irregularly round. So, that can throw things off. If you haven't banded before, it's a good idea to at least get the next size above and below what you think you need just to cover the bases. |
