USPS and UPS refused to ship today. I explained it was personal but they claimed it was commercial, bla bla bla, then referred me to USPS. Then USPS said they can't do it because I don't have a sellers license in the state. I went to the local Tobacco Shop. They have a license but said they didn't know me and are not allowed sorry.
Is there another option? I can take it on the airplane easy. Just fill up the Luggage. But I risk an overzealous TSA officer popping open the seals.
I'm in a rush and put all this off until the last minute. Anyone know of another option?

The only thing I can suggest is:
1. Fill the fuel tank
2. Pack the vehicle
3. Fill the cooler
4. Plot the course
5. Drive the chosen course.

You might check with fedex ground. I'd simply tell em it's Tobacianna. Valued @ "$X,XXX.XX" and leave it at that.

Why, oh why did you even discuss what was in the box? Just box it and ship it and tell them it is personal items...period.
Tell them it is hobby stuff...tell them anything, but don't tell them what is not their business to know.....GOD! whew...sigh.

I'm going to take a wild guess here and say that you were told this because you went in there and told them you want to ship large quantity of tobacco. Don't do that. You pack up your tobacco in a box. You write on the address. You walk into the USPS. Tell them you want to ship a package. You don't tell them what's in the box, because you don't have to. They won't ask you what's in the box. They'll ask you is there anything flammable, explosive etc etc. You tell them only fragile. Pay and leave. It's just that easy. |

I don't even mention fragile, fragile means kick once extra, once it meant drive over with forklift...I still have the pictures I sent the shipper!

^^^^ This is what I do. I dont lie to them. They ask about flammable items such as perfume, explosives such as batteries, and once in a while when it's a bigger box they've asked if its firearms? I answer no, and tell em priority mail. No harm, no foul.

Good advice seldom gets taken and there is no tongue in cheek here. Best advice: Go to Paypal.com/shipnow , log in, give it the sender, the type of mail, First Class, etc. Then you can even find a link to tell the PO to pick it up during regular mail day and you pay no pickup charge. I have sent as much as fifty pounds that way. Because they know your name and address they don't look into it or anything.
No Paypal account, you can go to USPS.com and get the same thing done, though I like Paypal for ease of the whole thing.
I am not dishing on others' advice here, but this has worked flawlessly for me. Just don't call paypal and ask them how to send an ounce of doobie
