adding my belated happy b.day Walt. Yer catching up to me till end of Dec (be 78), borrowed one from "Grumps". At our age, mind over matter.....if ya don't mind, it don't matter
juice/meds at this desk, after feeding the Ed, '06 daVinci in Caminetto "Business" #174 in smoking room & continue with the papers 32, clear now in Western NY Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY ...ain't that the honest truth? Started the day in a really rough spot...got up at 7:30 and fell back into bed...couldn't move til about noon...didn't light up a pipe until 3PM. That was butternut burley in a cob...taking it real easy while I try to get my act together. Like 75 just dropped on my head. Had a bowl of Arango Balkan Supreme in a small rusticated cauldron. Then it was a bowl of Irish Condor in a small Grabow Grad Duke pot from the 50's...sorry no picture (yet). Thanks for the kind words and pictures, Sid, from those who have stared disaster in the face.

Returned from a bunch of errands (ATM, pharmacy, supermarket) to resume an interrupted smoke of SG Grousemoor in the old/new Medico "Guardsman" - 1960s. Apparently overstocked back then and sold in the modern era. I believe it, as I had one just like that in the 1960s in college. After that one, I've filled a Moonshine Devil Anse with C&D Yale Mixture and settled back down for my sedentary pursuits, on the computer or watching the BBC news program.

George Jensen 3/4 bent smooth 9mm filter. Ebay find. But I like it, Walker pipe repair cleaned it up for me. With CEN Hodgepodge. what you havenβt heard of them? I mean you havenβt heard of me! Itβs the collection of want wouldnβt fit in other pipes. I know it has 1 coin of Escudo for sure. Some Drexel VIII. A touch of SG Commonwealth. A bit of Presbyterian. Not bad half way through. Now the Citadelle gin gimlet on the side may be helping a bitπ These darn Hodgepodge mixes (iβm sure most of create) arenβt half bad. Most of the time.

Happy Birthday pepesdad1 , I hope you had a good day! Thank you, the day just got better. 75 is a scary number. You are very welcome sir, glad to have made it a better day!
My Grandma used to say after you get to be a certain age, just start adding the numbers together & try to live life each day. She said remember how simple life was back then & you'll be as happy as you were in those times.

Just finished a bowl of Stonehaven in a small Grabow Grand Duke pot that I had to top and strip...looks great now and smokes like a dream. That butternut burley is some wonderful smoke...enjoy it, Ted and hope you have a great evening.
