I think I might be in trouble. Getting into a rut by repeatedly and often puffing on the same blend is my Achilles heel as a pipe smoker. I dread oversmoking beloved blends, for then Aversion By Repetition sets in. Craven Mixture is an old favorite and we had a reunion today. I might as well call it Craving Mixture. But one more bowl, a second bowl tonight, the last of the evening, I can smoke, right? Just one more bowl can't drive me over the edge with this. It can't, can it? House of Craven's Craven Mixture in the Bruno Nuttens Heritage Serie Bing #25 Sterling Silver. The best solution I've found to this dilemma is to try to keep your all day blends mild and relatively unsophisticated and then move on to the more complex sophisticated stuff later in the day. The burleys and virginias and mild english blends by themselves never get old. Then you can switch up the taste bud bombs each evening. It's a concept that works for me when I start feeling the way you do about my smokes.

Woke up after just one hour sleep in severe pain. This is typical for me. Winter just makes it worse. Staying stoned and on cbd just takes the edge off when it's this bad. I'm completely non-functional. Normally I'm not one to complain but I had plans to go to boswells today and this just sucks. Hopefully he's made enough bulldogs and Christmas cookie so that he'll have that in stock for me when I finally make it there. So I'm going to drink some water and smoke some LTF in my kaywoodie natural burl straight apple with a vulcanite stem and head back to bed where Ive spent most of the day. I hope you're feeling better soon, my friend.

Early Morning Pipe in this Willmer AA straight grain. Sipping coffee. I didn't finish my smoke due to cold (40 degrees here this morning), but will try again as soon as I can find a patch of sunshine on the deck....

Couldn't sleep, so I'm smoking A&C Petersen The Chief’s Own Curly Cut No. 598 in a medium bend 2001 Ural lattice Rhodesian with a yellow with white swirls acrylic stem. A cup of Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching The Lone Ranger. The Bob Newhart Show is next.

Rewarding myself with a GBD loaded with Piccadilly after fixing the fifth wheel blower motor for the furnace. Don't let anyone fool you Rv's require constant care and repair and a full set of tools on hand. I keep a milk crate full of things that need replacing on a regular basis. Strange relays, thermostat probes,12 volt bulbs, oddball 120v duplex stuff, motors for the three air conditioner blowers, appliance control boards cause everything in a RV has a 150 dollar control board. Whew okay I am done venting carry on and have a great day.

Setting a potential rut blend to deter another, more dangerous one. I brought out the Match Revelation again, to make me forget about Craven Mixture for a while. Ah, but do I then run the danger of getting into a rut with MR? Naw, I know how to handle that one. And handling it I am, in the BBB Christmas 1985 Special Make billiard with 22KT Gold Band.
