Haven't been OK since around 1972. I can relate to that. My wife sometimes tells me that I stopped maturing when I entered military service in 1972. We had two miniature Dachshunds and lost them both within a month of each other. One died of old age - we had him for 15 years and the other died when she basically caught a 4-wheeler she was chasing about a month later. I haven't found any dogs yet that could replace them.As for bulldog pipes, I love my Savinelli Giubileo D'Oro bulldog. To me, the will never be replaced...they will always own a part of your heart...you just have to find another who desperately needs your love and attention...and there are plenty out there in the shelters...they all have broken hearts, just like you...they don't know why they are there in jail.

We will see other dogs sometimes and my dog will be eager to say hello but the other owner will start screaming "My dog isnt friendly!" Luckily this is rare but you can tell when dogs have not been socialized with other dogs. Usually you’ll find dogs that are not socialized with other dogs well, their owners are not socialized with other people as well.....JMHO that does seem to be the case.
