I purchased the briar cigar from Morgans a couple weeks ago, see here www.morganpipes.com/store/c4/BriarCigar.htmlHere are my observations thus far, I like that it has a cap, I use it at work and so I preload it, cap it and throw it in my pocket with a Czech tool and a lighter. Its very good for its portability and its light to pack doesn't take up much space.Small bowl/ tobacco chamber so its not something that takes long to smoke. I have tried it with various types of tobacco and you know with different types of pipes you get a different experience,The flavor for me is much like smoking a small cobb.It takes some practice getting the bowl to burn all the way through but after a few times I had no issues. It does get pretty hot, however the reverse calabash chamber keeps the smoke pretty cool.I never got any bite.I like that I can pull a couple of draws and then cap it and throw it in my pocket. Some of the areas I work in...if you have a pipe the assumption is that you have weed, however no one assumes that with this pipe because it looks like a cigar. Thats a big plus for me. Overall I like it, but its not the type of pipe I want to sit in a recliner with, for my purposes it works very well. Its made well and though a bit gimmicky its a pretty cool setup.

Glad your enjoying your new Morgan Briar cigar👍 I’ve heard nothing but positive reviews, every briar Morgan puts out is of good quality for the price.
PS For me it’s a bit pricey

I really like the look of these but will agree with Ted, I can't justify the price sometimes, almost 4 bones pipes for that price...

It is really cool looking but yes, to pricey for me. It is the same way with the Morgan flapjack tobacco box. I love the look but $86? I don't think so.

I'm glad you've had a good experience with the briar cigar. I'm not sure I'd ever purchase one - I like the look of pipes too much.

Nathan , I am hoping Chris runs a special on these for Christmas They are pretty cool looking. I wouldn't mind having one. It’s cool looking...made in the USA .....anodized brushed aluminum.....holds 1.2.oz of tobacco. But it “ ain’t “ worth $89.00 even if it came stuffed with ODF!!!

I seem to recall Vauen making a cigar pipe many years ago called the Zepplin or something similar. It is like most things I cannot afford but appreciate that others can. A cigar pipe could be handy but I am content with a cob.

You’ll find pictures on the Internet.

There was a combo deal where you got the flapjack too,the deal ended in September I think but will probably happen again for holidays.Yes I agree it was pricey but I couldn't afford kids either...and I got 3 of them,They are all grown up now...thats why I can afford stuff like this. LOL
Morgan pipes is a local small business, as a general rule I try to support small business if I can, even if it costs a little more.I ran a small business once.I always appreciated my customers,as I wasn't the cheapest game in town.
The flapjack thingy is pretty cool too!!

They still make a cob cigar too. The flapjack is all mold cost recovery and small run piece prices. I'm a plastics sales guy that mold would be super pricey and the printing on it ain't cheap either. As an aside any of you guys have a million dollar idea thats involving plastics hit me up, I know some folks that can pull it off and I work for peanuts.

If they come back I will purchase one. If not, once I’m feeling a bit better I will make one.

She is climbing all over me right now begging to go out!

Unfortunately I didnt save any corn cobs from this Summer. I will have to keep that in mind for next year.

Ted, John makes custom Cobs, he is local to me in FL , his work on cobs is pretty cool and he does not over charge. I will put an order in for one just not right now. My wife will have my head , I am waiting on the Custombilt to come in.. :-)
