I tell you what, if you guys can't straighten out your differences over the one hot rock without resorting to gunplay, I'm out of there in four of five months. IPA vs stout, Sutliff vs C&D, redheads vs brunettes, that's all fair game and understandable that gentlemen would need to go ten paces and turn, but to shoot at a fellow over a heated rock is just plain irresponsible. First of all Stout is the King. Second of all C&D Rules. Third of all Redheads Are the Cream of the Crop. Ok ten peaceably after eating and drinking the following. 1. 6pack of curs 2. One large bowl of Green Chili 3. 1 dozen hard boiled eggs 4. 1 large bowl of Spivey Salsa Verde with corn chips No dairy products allowed for 24hrs. We don't need no guns after we load that ammo!

My limit is 60 degrees outside, I just go to my B&Min the winter since it's 10 minutes away.

I worked all day outside until it started raining. Putting up a Harbor Freight portable garage for the wife's plants before the freeze tomorrow night. Winter is generally great in Houston, except for the very rainy years. Mostly 60s and only a few freezing nights. We had 3 inches of snow one day last year!

Houston has brutal winters where we have to wrap our pipes for the three days it gets down to 28 degrees. Last year I knew the freeze was coming and the wife called and said she would be right home. Hours later she woke me from my nap to late to save the big water filter housings a costly mistake. In Tejas if you don't like the weather wait 24 hours or drive 60 miles.

I'm ok so far, I'd rather smoke in the 40s than the 90s. Heater is keeping the garage in the 60s or 70s anyway.

I’d rather smoke in sub-zero weather then outdoors when it’s 90 plus degrees Fahrenheit!! I can no longer withstand the hot weather. It’s 47 degrees Fahrenheit and raining outside right now. I’m sitting on the back deck surrounded by three walls and a roof......can’t ask for any better in my books👌👍👍

4” of snow on the smoking patio and 27 degrees F. If I want to smoke today, it will be driving in the car; very slowly, around the block.

+16 degrees at 1639. The Sun has not yet set. Then it will get cold. Should drop into double digits below zero.
Best I can do is close the thermal drapes and build up the wood stove to overheat the house in expectation of extreme cold outside. It is easier to maintain heat than to warm up from cold temperature.
A Hot Toddy may be indicated...

I doubt I am getting smarter but I did remove the three filter housings from the water line into the fifth wheel just a little bit ago. Being right on the lake we get a little colder than what the news says it will be. Nothing like a 350lb man in a G-string to give the other campers a thrill they wont soon forget.

73° here in central north Fla. Keeping an eye on a storm brewing in the Atlantic...forecast to head right to central Florida...just what we need! NOT

It's 52 down here in otherwise balmy south Louisiana. We should hit the high 30's this week. I might even break out my big magnalite gumbo pot this weekend to make a chicken and sausage gumbo this weekend. Since I'll be in the kitchen painting anyway, it might be a perfect two-fer. It my buddy takes a few ducks Saturday morning, I might switch out ducks for the chicken. I prefer duck to chicken, but I don't hunt anymore. I usually have to rely upon the generosity of my buddies who still hunt. I am generally low-carb, but rice in my gumbo is always an exception!!

Zero now. Next stop 5 below. About 63 in the house which is not bad.
After Sunrise, I am going to place an electric heating pad on top of the fuel filter in my truck. Set on "low". Hoping if I can warm the fuel filter reservoir, the engine might start. Generally, when below Zero, it does not start. I have anti-gel in the tank and filled it last night. Then all I have to worry about is that the fuel will flow from the tank to the engine. Past winters, I got it started only for it to die a mile or so from the house. Usually, our local gas station has a blend of Number 1 and Number 2 diesel for Winter but not this early in the season.

I'm trying to remember back a few months... toshtego, were you one of the ones experiencing the high temperatures in the summer months?

I'm trying to remember back a few months... toshtego , were you one of the ones experiencing the high temperatures in the summer months? Yes. We had the hottest summer of the past 20 years living here. It was bad. Too many days in the mid 90s. At 7,778 feet, the ultraviolet radiation feels intense at 80 degrees. At 96 or 98 it is unbearable for me.

The view from my brothers porch yesterday in Wichita. When we landed on Friday, it was 29 degrees with a stiff wind, yesterday it was 13 degrees when you factor the wind chill. My sister always loved the snow, so I guess that it was fitting on the day that we held her funeral. I smoked 1 bowl while there in my brother's shop, he just quit the cigarettes, so I didn't even ask to smoke inside...smoked that bowl in his shop out back. A cigar really had it's place though out on a snowy walk with my daughter in 30 mph winds...never had to relight! Mid 60's here back in Gilbert Az. today, mid 70's tomorrow....I am staying put this winter.

I didn't get the plant garage finished because of the rain. We had sleet and a few snowflakes early this morning. It's 40 now but feels like 30. But never mind the gimpy old man. The plants that I asked her to not buy must be saved even if it kills me. 🤐😕🤠

Sounds all too familiar, Ron! We had a freeze the last two nights, 28F, and enjoyed making a fire in the wood stove.

Many delayed flights out of Illinois tought me that.

Charlie, are you a Kansan by birth? No, born in Washington and lived in Germany, England, Texas, Colorado, Kansas, California, and now Arizona. Most of my High School years were in Wichita, and a large part of the Paternal side lives there...two brothers and a sister made it their home.

I was looking at a map from when Texas first became an independent country. Santa Fe and Dodge City were part of Texas until 1845. Can you imagine the weather man trying to cover the weather for the entire state? 😨🤠

The native Americans back then probably did a more accurate prediction than present day forecasters... but they had more skin in the game... literally!

The claimed border of the Republic of Texas went all the way to Montana.

It's 34 here tonight. I let the dogs out earlier and had a cigarette in shorts, t-shirt, and socks. 30-60 is my comfort zone.

Most of them just don't know any better. Others are just being arrogant douchebags or are following the herd.
