Got a call from Amarillo Texas, Son and his son, friend and his son went to Colorado for an elk hunt. They didn’t see any and the weather though nice was quite cold. He had come home and picked up some of my hunting gear for his son. Wife the consummate shopper gave him a portable grill. Here it is and he told his mother it was a life saver. [ ]

That is a nice looking little grill. Some small grills look hard to grill on but that one looks very user friendly and easy to pack.

That looks like a great wee setup. I would love something like that...in fact, I think I'd love to do something like that with friends - go camping and survive with bushcraft. At least, from the comfort and warmth of my own house I think it looks good.

Too bad he came back empty handed, but it's about the experience and memories.

It is all about being there with family and friends; relationships are everything. And the grill is pretty neat too!

That’s a nice looking grill and oven. It’s amazing how good the food tastes when cooked on one of these up in the mountains with friends and family to keep you company.

The great thing about camping is the amount of smoking you can get in.

Nice little grill, and man, that bacon looks good! We cook out with our neighbors quite a bit over their portable fire pit, but usually just hot dogs or sausage. Thanks for sharing this Brad!

The neat thing about that grill is it folds flat, X shape, never seen one like that, but my Epert Shopper wife got it, was in the pantry for over a year and a half, Son visited before his hunting to pick up cast iron pots we bought at flea market for him, wife says let me show you this. The rest is history with his comment, Mom that grill was a lifesaver.

Bacon is one of the all time great camping cooking foods. Not because its convenient or anything (cuz its not), but because there is nothing like that wonderful smell when the bacon is on, combined with the pine forest smells and the chill of the breeze. That and the coffee, it really makes the whole thing worthwhile.

I went fishing camping with a friend and he laughed at me for how much stuff I brought. But he was grateful that I brought it.
He especially laughed at the 50 some feet of parachord I brought. But when I rigged a clothes line between the trees to hang our waders, and air out the sleeping bags, he was grateful.

Couldn't go out on the porch for fear of having company. Hey, they gotta be somewhere and they were there before me.

One time we were hiking in the Adirondacks, in the area around all those small numbered lakes. We came through the wood to the edge of Sixth Lake and there we saw a canoe pulled up on the shore. Laying back on the stern seat was a baby black bear. He had box of Ritz crackers held above his head that he was shaking into his open mouth.
Bear cubs are dangerous. Very dangerous. Because you know the mother is around, and watching, and you don't want to be between Momma and her cubs.
But cute. OMG.
