Saw some pictures of Josh's celebration pipe...Cramps that one that you said had a flaw with the space between the extension/shank...what a beautiful pipe that was...birdseye all over that pipe...really outstanding pipes you are making, Jason...you have come a long way from that first beauty you made. Stellar work, brother!! Now take care of brother Scrooge so he can be happy when he starts smoking again.

Jason, those three when finished Iβm sure will be beauties. On all of your pipes you can see the love you have making your pipes. Itβs a pleasure watching your progress. Thanks for sharing my friend πππ

Nice. A tomato is on my list of wants, but I'm beyond happy with my 2 eggs. I dont see how any other pipe could be as comfortable to hold and smoke.

Pipe #1 Just about finished. Just noticed some smudging on one side. "The Yacht Captain" I can see why you call it the Yacht Captain. Certainly has a nautical flavor (no pun intended).

I can put you on the list for around Christmas! I might have to wait until next June for my next one. I foresee my pipe time drastically decreasing for AT LEAST the first year after the twins are born.

Cramptholomew........Jason those are two beauties ππ. Iβm not into the squashed tomato look on a pipe, but yours caught my eyes immediately. How you finished the shank and that slightly bent stem......perfect. No π©, you nailed that tomato!!!

I should have taken a better photo of the side, becasue the shank is a flattened oval with sharp edges. It's more interesting in person.

Cramptholomew........okay a picture will do.....lol. Yours looks great in the picture but I definitely understand they look better in hand. That Stacked Nosewarmer looks great in pictures, but in hand itβs gorgeous. Itβs one of my top three favorite smokers. The briar built a nice even cake, I coated with a bit of honey. Also, the β open β draft make all the difference. Itβs like the pipe smokes itself.

Before I started making pipes, I saw all these pipes that I knew I'd never be able to afford. I figured the only way I'd have one is if I made it myself. So, I gave it a try. I've still got a LONG way to go, but now I have a tomato, and that makes me happy.

Cramptholomew, those two pipes are stunning. You say you've a long way to go, but I don't see that in pipe making. I think you have got that nailed down. Your 'long way' is in where you take your ideas.

Your 'long way' is in where you take your ideas. The funny thing I realized after I posted that - with all the money spend on equipment and supplies, I could've bought a metric ton of those "expensive pipes" I gawked at. Really, though, I've needed a good hobby for a long time. One that's functional, and where I can be creative. This is it.

Pipe #1 Just about finished. Just noticed some smudging on one side. "The Yacht Captain" Very nice pipe. Me like. What's on the bottom of the chamber? Is that an 'air-add-system' thingy? (As it's called on my 1940's Steele's briar)

(As it's called on my 1940's Steele's briar) that's a ball magnet. I use it and a disc magnet (under the fabric) to hold the pipe in position.
