This past week I placed a small order for the C&D Christmas Blend. I am not going overboard on it, as the description doesn't thrill me. Besides that and some Villiger Tropical, I ordered filters and two blends I was really looking forward to: Kramer's House Blend and Former's Private Blend.
I have smoked a half dozen bowls of each and am getting nothing. I should have learned that when many Aros say Liqueur you get alcohol sting with a tad citrus. The Kramer House Aro was Burley, Cavendish, and Irish Mist. All I got was a pipe full of charcoal.
Considering my love of Danny Kaye's blend, checking out a blend that Heimie the Robot smoked was a natch.
I think I may have reached my limit on adding tobaccos. There are only so many English Blends that are really different. As to Aros, it's always an elusive hunt for Confection Nirvana.
After getting my gold medal in SP Free Shipping, I realized what I spent in a year and a few months, just on those 20 orders. Okay, I digress (surprise). My question is not whether to stop. I think I made that choice. My question is for the two tobaccos.
I honestly believe I am missing something and I am hoping a few of the brethren here have tasted these two tobaccos and can help me with their thoughts. Former's is always sold out, so I don't believe I can trust my taste buds. House Aro is similarly popular and out of stock.
Right now I am down with a severe cold, so I can't continue my research for some days. Thanks in advance
