I purchased a used Kirsten from ebay for 21 bucks and shipping. It was listed as a Generation 1 type M,and I think that's accurate.The writing on the bottom is worn off so not easy to identify.It was pretty oxidized and needed some serious cleaning.I put a little elbow grease into it and it came out pretty clean.The bowl is pretty thin in a few spots but still functional.I will be looking for an additional bowl in the future.No O rings so no O rings to replace it is a precision fit. Stem could stand replacing but its just cosmetic. It was plugged about 70% in the stem but I finally got it clean.I put a tiny amount of bee's wax on the stem side and on the valve. How does it smoke? Smokes great!!! by far the coolest smoke I have experienced. I think its a great new edition to my small but growing collection.  |

Doug designed the bent system and the adapter. It sells for $39.99. He also makes and sells his own bowl adapters. Kirsten direct in Seattle Washington will no longer sell ANY parts without purchasing a pipe. The young lady that now owns Kirsten is rude....that’s just not my opinion. I have Doug’s cell number if your interested on purchasing anything from him. He’s extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Nope, he’s not even a friend. Just someone that sells a great product who I trust 100%👍👍

I got some o-rings from Home Depot that fit the stem and plug. You can get stems and parts from the Kirsten company as they restarted manufacturing. Any pipe repair place like Norwood should be able to make a replacement stem. I have 3 generations of Kirstens and they all smoke the same. |

Very nice Chukus. The bent one really has me thinking... Josh, the bent system also accommodates the XXL Morta bowl Don Warren made for me. Take a look at the guys website I posted above. Sometimes he lowers his prices, especially when you purchase directly from himand not eBay👍 PS
The bent one and the straight one are one in the same. |
