There's something great about smoking a pipe under the stars on a clear winter's night. Especially when the temperature is 70 degrees Farenheit at sunset....of course winter doesn't arrive until Dec. 21st, but it already feels like it elsewhere.

Fortunately I'm lucky enough to be able to smoke inside. Some of us are not and to that I say BUMMER! now Home Depot sells the big tall standing propane heaters and Chimenias which should do the trick for you and I think I saw the big heaters on sale for $139.00

I sit in a pole building with it pointed at me and turned to low. Takes 30 seconds to get running and plenty of heat.

Last night the temps were 30's outside, 70's inside. I had the blinds open on the windows so that as I sat in the mancave I could see the stars. ;-) Put me in the "Smoke Inside if Ya Can" club.

We smoke is our uninsulated pole barn and garage. The garage is too short but the barn is not.

Smoking in the cold has helped me learn how to smoke better actually. Because I refuse to wear gloves, my hands get very cold. I've started clenching the pipe and sticking my hands in my pockets for most the time. I started using the breathe method to compliment this clenching style. I've been having really good smokes the last few weeks.

It's called a Tank Top Heater and many companies make them in single or double burner models. Mine is made by Dyna-Glo. Its been a nice companion on some of my freezing cold pipe sessions.

I'm going to see if they're available over here. Edit: a wee bit expensive for the amount I'd use them.

I just smoked my Kirsten while working in the garage yesterday and had no issues at all. I always use the closed mouth breath method though. Pipe stays lit forever that way.
