The pipes of Randy Wiley is one subject of which I know very little, even less than I know about other brands. I did recently, however, purchase a Wiley online that caught my eye. What I've been told is the grading number is 66. A diligent search on the internet duly turned up an older thread listing the Wiley grading numbers. They included 55 and 77, but not 66. A 66 would rate as a solid mid-grade if placed in numerical order in the aforementioned list. Anyone here know anything about this brand? I know that Wiley based in Florida and got his start with Edward's in the 1970s. I should know more about his work as I too am a Florida resident. This is the pipe that I just got in the mail this week, a Randy Wiley Patina Bent Billiard 66.

I'm sorry I'm no use here, but may I offer a 'wowser' at your pipe?

Found this in a Google search: Thanks. Funny, I found the same language, but some of the numbers that you quote were missing from the list that I saw, including of course 66. The rest of the language was the same. This pretty much answers it, however, so thanks to you my question is answered. Is this a great group of people or what? Thanks again.

Hi I have a current grade list somewhere. Randy Wiley also has a Facebook page where the information might be found or you can simply ask him.
PS One notable pipe grade not listed above is the Ovation line (which might have started later than 1997). This line is Randy Wiley's top end (above those listed) and are actually graded from W1 lowest to W5 highest. Randy also discontinued the RVW line a while back.

I think that Randy Wiley would be a good maker to produce the Wile E pipe for the Arizona pipe club.

Am about to smoke the 66 for the first time. Thank you for the information. I'll look up his website. Btw, thank you all again for your helpful information and comments.

I am, Walkman. Thanks. My first smoke with it was cool, smooth and very comfortable - and tasty which is impressive for a pre-carb pipe. Great design and, now I know, fine engineering. I'm looking forward to many great smokes with this Wiley.
