Try Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic.......not goopy .......an enjoyable smoke that stays lit. Just air dry a bowl full if fresh👍 I agree, Ted. SWRA is a good one, especially spiked with some Five Brothers.  Yup, or Brown Irish X👍 |

I like cobs for aros and burley blends. VA, VAPER, English, & Balkan blends seem to lose something in them. The smoke is still enjoyable, but I lose complexity and nuance in cobs.

I agree with tab. For me, cobs are great with aros and burleys but other types lose some flavor in a cob.

Don't know about aros but burley blends smoke fantasticly in a cob.

I don't think they smoke better in a cob but I'd rather that sludgy aro ruin a cheap cob than an expensive briar lol.
