This question pops up every now and again. Havent seen it yet this year. Opening up anything specific for the holidays?
I always pick a tin different from the regular rotation as a treat around this time of year. Have not settled on which one myself yet this year.

All Christmas long for the last two years I have smoked C&D's Golden Days of Yore. Its a hit with me an everyone within like a half mile radius so it must be decent. Great taste.. and the smell. Well its Christmas!
Everyone keeps telling me to try Boswells Christmas Cookie so I shall this year.

Hearth & Home: Egg Nog Seattle Pipe Club: Plum Pudding Special Reserve Sutliff: Match Holiday Mixture Too many to list as I have a current rotation of a dozen or so blends for this holiday season I am working through.

My suggestion to anyone who enjoys several seasonal blends is to stock them up because the new FDA rules are making it harder and harder for blenders to manufacture and sell seasonal or "novelty" tobaccos.

There's a recent discussion here that might provide you with some more ideas. I'm hoping Solani Festival will provide that holiday spirit for me. If not, I'll crumble a cinnamon stick into a bowl of tobacco.

Paddy, you need to try Iwan Ries' King's Oriental. It has clove in it. That is a blend I only smoke at Christmas time. The other C&D Christmas blends I smoke year round.

I know of a few people who used to try smoking cinnamon sticks when they were kids. Maybe it is.

Today begins the Holiday Season for my family. Peretti’s Thanksgiving Blend will be opened and smoked starting today but my main celebratory blend, Tudor Castle, will be smoked daily from now through New Years Day. During Christmas week I’ll open a tin of 2013 Christmas Cheer. Depending on my cravings I may open a tin of Holiday Spirit between now and Christmas. This is my favorite time of year. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all of you.

Might crack a '13 or '14 Xmas Cheer but it will be another year of restraint for the 2000 tin. I'm determined to make that 20 year mark!

2005 Christmas Cheer this year. Boswell Pennsylvania Dutch Treat screams holidays in front of fires. Others love the room note.

So many good posts. Decided to go with a tin or two of Wilderness for me. Not a holiday blend, but something I only open in special occasions now. Room note wont make me any new friends so more leftovers for me.

Turns out I needed a new Lat blend opened. So, why not make it something special? I opened a tin of 2007 C&D Star of the East Flake last night. Paired with some Tullamore DEW, it was heavenly.

Last year I bought a couple tins of C&D Corncob Pipe & a Button Nose. Has a snowman on the tin art. Tin aroma is that of hot chocolate with marshmallows.
As for taste - - meh, I didn’t care for it. Like smoking air. Little flavor.
I jarred it up. I’ll try it again this season to see if it or I might’ve changed from last year.
