Hey guys! I'm new to the board. I picked up a pipe a couple of months ago 30 years after I set it aside due to the gripes of the girl I was with at the time. I should've known that one wasn't going to last and kept puffing. Anyway, I'm back with a pipe in my hand, albeit on the porch. My wife (the third one of those I've had--okay...maybe it's me) won't tolerate it inside and complains mightily about the smell every time I return from the local smoke shop. They have a couple of lounges inside the shop. They cater mostly to cigar smokers, but a great shop nonetheless and an even greater group of guys that hangout there.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello. I've got some questions that I'll post on other sections of the board so please answer if you don't mind sharing the benefit of your experience.
Thanks!

Well maybe this was set to be the best time of your life to enjoy pipesmoking. One thing I've learned from experience, as I know you have, is to never sacrifice yourself for a woman. I guess this can be true in the reverse for the ladies as well....

Time to prime your cellar as it appears that you have some catching up to do before the tobacco apocalypse!! 😁

Welcome from southern Virginia! I've been to Atlanta a few times. A fine place to visit if you get through the traffic.

adding my greets/welcome from cold 50miles East of Buffalo, NY. Been around awhile (some say too long)! Still mumbling at old ASP, was at other forums over the years. Confirmed lata-holic for around 15. A great place & sure you'll find plenty interesting topics to do. Oh...if by chance you can beat 12/40, ya can take my "seniority"!

Welcome! I lived in Hotlanta in the '90s when I started to smoke a pipe. Is Edward's still there on Piedmont and Peachtree in Buckhead? As I recall it was a nice pipe shop. When I moved to the burbs I hung out at The Cigar Merchant in Dunwoody a lot. I think Todd sold those shops off after I left the area in 2001.
