It was a cold snowy night in Detroit. It had snowed 3 inches and was still snowing.I was sitting in a hospital waiting for my son to be born.In walked a lady. She had been like a second mother to me while I was growing up.When I saw her I said..I didn't expect to see you here..She said You didn't think I would let you go through this alone did you.She was 62 years old and she had taken a bus in that weather to be with me on that most important night. It's the night I became a man.The night I learned what a true friend is.That was 54 years ago tonight.I still remember her.Her name was Mildred. She has a special place in my heart.I will always remember her.Sometimes when I'm alone sitting in my chair and all is quiet I think of her and wonder If I'm the man she would expect me to be.

Larry, your a good man. I often reminisce, the best years of my life...1975 to 1980. All we have now is fond memories, I will never forget. Seems we have similar personalities.

You were lucky to have such wonderful people in your life especially her.
