I have to hear Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, The Carpenters, Burl Ives, Andy Williams, etc, or it isn't Christmas, but my absolute favorite Christmas album is Christmas with Watson & Edge.

I was going to go with Bing, but drama already called it.
So my second choice would be James Brown. Yes, he made a Christmas album. Indeed it’s a funky good Christmas!

I've been listening to this all day.
These kids sure are good. It's just so relaxing. My childhood is in this song.

Probably too new to be considered 'classic' for some of you guys, but it isn't Christmas for me until I've watched this and the Rudolph specials.

I keep a steady rotation of Gary Hoey and TSO, but the Murphys deserve an honorable mention.

I am usually not thrilled with new Christmas music. Usually just like the classics, but heard a new one the other day that I really like. Cozy Little Christmas by Katie Perry. Found it to be very enjoyable.

This is by far the WORST Christmas song:
Save for, "Christmas Shoes", which is in a class all its own.

It's not Christmas without the Elvis Christmas Cassette playing. It's one of my good memories from childhood. The cassette is probably still in the player from last year.

For a recent classic, I really like “Mary Did You know” by Mark Lowry, and an older classic “O Holy Night” by John Berry.
Both of them guys bring mist to the eyes when I hear them.

I would be remiss as a Southern Boy to not mention Charles Brown Please Come Home For Christmas, wish I knew how you fellows post a link to these songs but I don’t. That song is revered in Louisiana, don’t know about other states.

You are absolutely correct, Greg! The few originals they wrote for Yellow Submarine are rarely played or mentioned... but I love 'em!

During the period of the late fifty’s to the early sixties Goodyear offered a vinyl Christmas Album containing many of the old Christmas sounds performed by the popular singers of the day. ie: Bing Crosby, Debbie Reynolds, Mitch Miller, Connie Francis, Perry’s Como, and etc.. These albums were made available through businesses that carried Goodyear tires. My parents had six albums and were a mainstay of the Christmas music played daily on or stereo during the month of December. I still have them and they always allow me to fondly remember my home and parents during the Christmas Holidays when I was a young boy.
