Justin has never had any issues with posting threads from other sites here. Quite the contrary, to his credit he's defended the practice on several occasions in my time here. This may be worth a read:

The only three meers I'd recommend are Baki, Altinok and IMP. Looks like Baki is history in the US after existing supply expires. Second, JMHO but the only pipes I'd recommend to somebody just getting started would be top shelf meers and MM cobs. Meers are low maintenance, no break in period required, no ghosts a Q-tip won't fix, purist way to sample new tobacco and top shelf meers can be had for less than $300 new, even less for estates.
Good meers last forever unless you have a dumb arse attack and drop one on concrete. That one hurts from experience. A few combined with cobs and a couple briars is all that's required for a rock solid rotation with only a dozen pipes. It might be a good time to ask for one this Christmas.
