Holy Cow!! I can't say what I mean because of the new cussing autocorrect, so Holy Cow!! Charlie just sent me the most awesome CARE pack ever. My stupid digital camera won't hold a charge, so I'm going to have to describe it only Charlie just sent me:
A 3.5oz double tin of McClelland Christmas Cheer from 2016 - you can't even buy that stuff. A marmalade jar of C&D Small Batch Carolina Red Flake, one of the best tobaccos ever, and Charlie knows I love flakes. A tin of Solani Blend 656 Aged Burley Flake, which I bet is awesome and I love flakes. A big 2oz tin of GL Pease Stonehenge Flake, my favorite blender and I love flakes. A tin of Sutliff Blend No 5, a 'balanced smoking mixture'. Don't even know what that is, but I bet it's good. A pouch of Mick McQuaid plug, because I love plugs too. Probably really good, and cool because it's in a pouch. A bigass 25g tin of Toque Original snuff. He already sent me a lifetime supply of snuff, so here's some more!! I mix it with Chocolicious. Another biggass 25g tin of Gawith Kendal KB Special snuff. I've never heard of it, but I bet it's really good. A sweet travel tub of Gawith Black Arabica. Already sniffed some, and I think it's coffee. It's tasty. An awesome handwritten Christamas card, with some really cool stuff inside, and
The piece de resistance, a massive Group 5 or 6 carved calabash Altinay meershaum! It's huge, and carved with the round pockmarks, which just happens to be my favorite meer finish. It wasn't cheap.
So Wow; I'm in shock. Oh, and two packs of pipe cleaners, and I was out! Now I can clean the pipes I've had to set aside because they tasted like licking an ashtray. What am I going to stuff in this calabash meer first? So, a HUGE Thank You to Charlie trailboss; I don't have a big enough thank you for you. Thank You Very Much.
Dave
PS Wow. Thank You.

Need some pics of the pipe brother. Awesome hual. Enjoy it. Especially that Christmas cheer, the last little bit of mcclelland I have left I treasure greatly. This makes me excited to wrap gifts, currently waiting on some things in the mail so I can re-send them out.

I can't find a pic of this pipe anywhere. This is pretty much the shape:
But it's got a dark amber saddle bit, is all meerschaum and no wood, and the lattice engraving is like this:
So kinda like this Altinay, except a longer shank, dark amber saddle bit, and the lattice work like the above pipe:
It's a distinctive and magnificent pipe. And huge: I put a Solani 656 Burley flake in it and it could have taken four or five more. Great clencher, just an impressive pipe. Definitely the one to smoke about town Thanks Charlie; really cool pipe.

Glad you like the stuff... it didn’t cost anything, just stuff lying around...thanks for the cat herding by running the SS.... but then again you are qualified at that.
This wasn’t part of the Secret Santa exchange, I chose not to participate, I already have enough tobacco.... it is a great project and glad to see that someone headed it up....And David I perceived could use a few good smokes.

Yes. Yes it freaking did. The Altinay alone is a $230 pipe. Now I need some place in public to smoke. May have to wear a cravat and my silver pipe pin and disapprove of people. C'mon over, mall security guy. I'm also snorting stuff from this little bottle
Is that plastic?
No, it's meerschaum.
Oh. Is that plastic?

I have to go to the parentals next Wednesday. Not sure if she has a phone that can take pics, but I'll try to get one of this awesome pipe, and see if I can figure out how to email it to me. Her phone may not take pics though.
I gave her a computer for a few months so she could surf, look at houses and email, but ended up taking it away after a few months. She's eighty-something, extremely technically challenged, almost blind from diabetes, and it was a net negative. Lots of crying and anger (towards me). My sister took away her iPhone for the same reason, so maybe no pics.
