For all you outdoor pipers... It's cold outside and I want to have a pipe right now, but I can't be arsed going outside to have one.
I'm these situations, the weather normally wins and I go without. I have a garage I can smoke in, but I still can't be bothered going in there.
Who wins when you would like a pipe but it's cold outside? Would you have your pipe anyway or would you say, 'screw it; I'm staying in the heat'?

The cold is no issue. A good heater and a nice electric hand warmer makes for a happy smoke. Its the summer when its 90+ out with high humidity that gets me.

Heat an Ac in my mancave. Sunroom connects my 2 homes unheated but no wind or wet stuff. Heated garage. All bases covered.

The pipe wins, unless the wind is blowing like last night. I toughed it out for a bit, but it was down right cold. I've noticed I take more "trips to the store" than I did when it was hot out

weather usually wins, because I don't have a garage option. it's either out in the elements or not at all. i try to manage my cravings by visiting the smoking lounge on Tuesdays.

I can usually bear the weather for a quick pipe, or half a pipe.

I’d much rather enjoy a pipe in below zero weather then in the heat and high humidity of the Summer. For years I traveled and worked in Countries with extremely high temperatures, between 109 and 116 degrees Fahrenheit would not bother me in the least. Now I can not stay outside once the temperature reaches 80 degrees Fahrenheit. I must stay out of direct sunlight.

I have a heater in the garage, or a perfectly good truck witha heater in it.

I'm an inside only pipe smoker but some of my favorite times to enjoy a pipe are the nastiest days outside. It very relaxing to kickback with a bowl when it's snowing, bitter cold or pouring rain and there is nothing to do or nowhere to go.

I do the garage. Wife is cool with that. No wind. Jacket required, but I'm cool with that. I have an old laptop out there to watch Netflix, Amazon, or YouTube. I also have a Google Home out there to listen to old time radio, if I don't wanna be distracted by a screen. I'll get a heater at some point. We had pipe night at McWiggins garage last Saturday (it was in the high 20s F), and his propane heater was just the thing.

I'm blessed my wonderful wife lets me smoke inside because she likes the way it smells

When it is too cold, the mobile smoking lounge is put in service. Heated leather seats and moon roof; perfect!

I will agree that high humidity and heat prevent me sometimes but we usually just up the cold beverage intake to help out. My brother in law has a built in chair in his pool and that was my cigar spot last summer this year I’ll enjoy a cob in the pool..

I have to run a lot of errands on foot, and I'll squeeze in a smoke on my way to my destination, but I'm not going to suffer the cold.
Fish'n'Banjo is made of tougher stuff than I am.

For me, it doesn’t become a consideration till temps get below 0F. And, I’ve been out smoking when it was - 8F. (- 22C for you Celsius guys. )

26 and no problems for me or the dog. Wife keeps telling me to put one of those silly sweaters on the pup. I refuse.

Better ask the dog about that one...may prefer to have a sweater on...I know ours does. She is a bit of a sissy, but then again, so am I. We're both old and don't need pneumonia...so sweater it is for both of us.

Years ago, I came to the pipe as a long time cigar smoker. I wanted something I could smoke inside during the coldest winter days, without complaints from other family members. (For some strange reason they didn’t appreciate the aroma of a fine cigar.) So, if it gets real bad I’m coming inside ! That would likely take negative double digit temps ( - 10F ). I prefer being outdoors & observing what nature is up to as I smoke my pipe.

Don't have that problem as I've always smoked inside over the last 40+ years. But then I've lived a "singular" life the past 18 years !
