Hello everyone, I'm Ken and please feel free to call me Ken. Started smoking pipes a couple months ago after finding a few of my Grandfathers pipes. (thought they were all lost after my Grandmother threw them away) My dad must have found the ones she didn't know about and I found them when clearing out my dad's house after his passing. I seem to enjoy smoking them and have quit smoking cigarettes in favor of the pipe. After checking this site out I learned more about pipes in a short time than I would have on my own. I hope to learn more as I go along and hopefully contribute some knowledge down the road.
Thanks for reading Ken

Welcome to the patch. There is a wealth of pipe knowledge on this website. A lot of these members have been smoking pipes for over a decade. Look forward to seeing how your pipe smoking progresses.

A warm welcome from Ireland, Ken. Stick around and you'll learn lots from the people here. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
We've also got some threads that are general chit chat. Get involved in some of those and you'll be part of the family from the very first post.

Welcome from central north Florida. You have found the BEST forum for meeting like minded friends that are pipers.
What kind of pipes (brand name) did you find that were your grandfathers pipes...yeah, we be nosy.

adding my welcome/greets from 50miles East of Buffalo, NY. Really old time from old ASP days + some other now-dead forums. So far I can claim "seniority" here & at the attached chat. If can beat 12/40, I'd be glad to lose same!

Welcome to the Briar Patch from Northwest Arkansas! There are some moderately neato guys and gals (Lady Maggs) here And I wouldn't take 10,000,000 for any of these weirdos! Enjoy your stay

I have a few grabows that are in my rotation, one of which gets smoked more than any of my pipes... except my cobs.

Sorry to hear about your father, but it's really great you managed to get a hold of some of your grandpa's pipes. Really cool. Also, congrats on kicking cigarettes It's not an easy thing to do.
Welcome to the hobby and welcome to the patch!
