Ah, I see! Yeah, fugit is what I said the day before putting my papers in for retirement from the State. Happy beyond words and never looked back....at either work or the people I worked with...none of them buying my lunch for me.

I think it appears to fly faster as we get older because each minute, as a percentage of our lives, gets smaller and smaller with every minute that passes.

"Life is like a roll of toilet tissue, as you get closer to the end the faster it goes" probably from the wall of some public toilet?

"Life is like a roll of toilet tissue, as you get closer to the end the faster it goes" probably from the wall of some public toilet? Apropos indeed. When you're younger, time drags and you want it to speed up. God certainly played a nasty trick on us all.

Do you know what happens to the socks that your dryer eats? They come back as Tupperware lids that don't fit anything.

Probably fighting it all the way. Stressing out family members, doing things they think I am too old to do. I tell the younger guys at work that the aches, pains and other ailments are best viewed as "white noise". I am sure 70 will be here all too fast.

Do you know what happens to the socks that your dryer eats? They come back as Tupperware lids that don't fit anything. The real answer is that they end up in a moldy pile at the bottom of your top-load washer.
They're light enough to be flung upwards, and thin/small enough to slip through

I think it appears to fly faster as we get older because each minute, as a percentage of our lives, gets smaller and smaller with every minute that passes. The science types hypothesize that as we grow older, we've seen more shite, and fewer things are remarkable enough to be recorded in long term memory.

I may be the exception here,I do agree that time goes by quicker as we age, however despite the challenges age brings, I find myself happier as I age. Each new year is better than the last.True there are more aches and pains , and maybe my perspective will change since I am only now middle aged, but I always find that my life in many ways improves with age. My aunt passed away this year 1 week shy of her 105th birthday, she was active and completely coherent to the end.I attribute that to her corn cob pipe smoking.
