I'll never forget once when they were filming him jogging once at the White House with a pack of Secret Service men all around him jogging too. The reporter asked him if there would be no tax increase and he said, "Read my hips". He was a good president and one that my parents loved. They had a signed picture of him in their hallway (Ronald Reagan too).

The guy in DC today could take some lessons on how to be a president as he gave a true definition to the office. Sad day in America for sure .

I don't recall the reason Pres.Bush was in Oklahoma,
but while he was still the vice President under Reagan
he made an impromptu visit to the state fair.They shut
down the mid-way,and he went thru shaking hands after
a quick tour.Always did and alway will have a deap
RESPECT for President George H.W.Bush and his family.

He was truly a man who understood, like John McCain, that there are far more important things than political party. |

Was to young to vote when he was in office, but he is the first president I half way remember. Hopefully he has found peace.

It was nice to see fellow WW2 Veteran, former Senator Bob Dole, make his visit, stand and salute. He had to be lifted from his wheelchair and be supported while he raised his hand. I had tears.
Another good man.

I thought it was a nice memorial 41 and his family choreographed the entire thing, from the removal of the body until the week after the burial. President Trump has been and will be exactly where 41 requested him to be. He is following the family's wishes to the letter. I am sure plenty of people will find fault with that. |
