Evening, all. I'm Kenny. I'm not completely new to pipe smoking, although I haven't really stuck with it until now. I've started and stopped over the last 20 years or so, but finally picked pipes back up about a month ago, investing in some estate pipes, and puffing away on some tins that were given to me by a friend who's a member of CORPS here in Richmond. I'm enjoying my pipes a lot more than I was before, having another pipe smoker to smoke with, and youtube to learn about the mechanics of pipe smoking. I find that I love English blends, as well as Virginias, and I actually like some of the aromatics that I've tried. I want to expands my horizons, try Burley, VaPers, pretty much everything out there. I've picked up some bulk blends at a couple of local shops, and I'll be placing an order for some tobaccos that I want to try next week, although I haven't decided upon which online store I'll be buying from. I just wanted to introduce myself. I look forward to participating here and getting to know y'all. And to any other former Marines.....Semper Fi, devildogs!!!

Welcome Kenny! I have a similar story; smoked pipes 35-40 years ago then switched to cigars for the intervening years. Last July I pulled my old pipes out of their box in the garage, ordered some SPC Potlatch and took the pipe plunge. I find I enjoy the pipe smoking more these days and I'm blown away by the nearly endless choices in tobacco blends. And of course, the internet makes finding it all easier. I know you will find this a great pipe smoking community - good folks around here.
