So I am making some French onion soup and steak and cheese sliders. I was going outside to sauté the onions and under my grill I see a reptile. It’s florida so I always check for snakes. Behold a baby alligator http://instagr.am/p/BrL1TSmnT1A

Don’t turn him into a pet... I had a pet alligator, named him Wally-Gator... mean as piss, he always wanted to relieve me of my fingers... thank God for chain mail glove inserts inside welding gloves.. saved my bugger hook.

Ben ^^^^^^^^ did you remove the baby gator properly? Easy to put in a small box or garbage pail and drop off at an area that is not heavily populated near water.

Here's a good dipping sauce for Gator Tail: 1 cup mayonnaise 1/4 cup sour cream 1/4 cup buttermilk 1/4 cup Sriracha sauce Juice of 1/2 lemon 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar Salt and freshly ground black pepper Chopped fresh chives, for serving

Mmmm gator tail...
That little guy would have been relocated though. A few years back it flooded bad here and we had a 4' gator in our front yard. Animal control came to move him and left us with 2 raccoons and a family of opposums. Had I known that was the trade, I would have moved it down to the pond, or back to the river, myself.

WOW...that is for darn sure...didn't even think about the kids getting near one. Guess that is one of the pleasures of having a pond in your backyard when in south Florida. Never ran into one when I was living there...but I never had a canal or pond near me either. Glad he was relocated and not on the menu...that small he deserves to live a little longer.

A baby gator would probably be relocated if found in my yard. A snake of any size wouldn’t be so fortunate. 👎
