My next pipe will likely be a meer as well. I've seen others mention this already, but pay attention to bowl size. I almost jumped on what I thought was a good eBay deal awhile back and realized it was practically a minipipe.

I was looking at the meershaum pipes on smoking pipes, the ones around d $100 or so. Anyone have experience with these? Are they worth the money? This would be my first meerschuam pipe. If you're talking about the AKB pipes, they are block meerschaum and smoke great. I've had this AKB claw for a few years and it's been great. I LOVE your eagle claw meer ! I have two but both have plain smooth egg bowls. One is a Bekler and the other is a CAO and I have a Bekller carved head of Thomas Jefferson. I love 'em and think every pipe smoker needs at least one !!

I currently have 2 meerschaum that I smoke regular. One is a bent, smooth apple that I paid over 200.00 for, I think it's SWS. I love it, it my "evening smoke in my chair while I read and unwind" pipe. The other one is a small one brought to me from Turkey by one of my sons, who was deployed over there last year by the military. I guide horseback in the NW for a living, and this was my vest pocket pipe until I just picked up a Devil Anse from Moonshine for that particular job. I was always worried I was going to ruin the meer on a snorty colt.
Meerschaum smoke great, but the do need more care.

I bought one of those mini meers by mistake, and although tiny it's one of my best smokers.

Have a Tekin that I purchased. No regrets and one of my favorites.

Here is my little riding pipe. This one was brought back from Turkey by my son, who was deployed over there. There is no way to know who made it, it was some local artisan.
