Cool beans John. I have a couple of those from both vintages in the cellar but have never got around to cracking them. Figure they're pretty tasty. Will crack one if you think it's a must try.

These will go in the cellar. The guy to ask is lestrout. I don't make a move on a blend without consulting Les.

Hang on to them, Mike. They could be good trading currency in a few years.

I must live in banana land, have never heard of these. (Or maybe I'm just getting old.) Sounds interesting, though!

The good thing about McClelland tins is that they are easy to date. I've found some tins at B&M with 10 years of age by rooting through the shelves.

That is pretty nice to have a B&M that has old stock on hand like that....the only place locally that I can think of that might do the same here is the Ye Old pipe Shoppe in Phoenix, but I am not a regular by any strtech, so I don't think that I can pull that off. Can't hurt to ask next time I am there though.

I recently popped a tin of Anniversary 1997-2002, dated 2001 on the bottom of the tin. Perhaps a bad tin; however, my impression was it was seriously past its prime and probably should have been smoked earlier. The level of fermentation and sour taste didn't agree with my palate. Others may differ.

Cool! I have a can of the 2017. I honestly don't plan on smoking it. I just loved the look with the wax etc.
