Hey all, I've visited as a guest a few times, and I figured it was time to sign up and make some friends. I'm currently living in North New Jersey, before that I lived in St. Louis, and was born and raised in Western New York/Canada.
Been a pipe smoker for a few years now, and like I said, I've visited these forums as general reading to see what everyone is smoking and as a general reference. You all seem like a great bunch, and I look forward to many pipes here. I'll get my profile set up soon.

Welcome from Maryland! I'm a native North Jersey guy. Miss the food dearly. Can't get a decent Italian sub anywhere down here. Luckily, there's a guy from Queens that owns a local pizzeria, and he makes a good pie. So, I'm not lacking in pizza. Everything else that the NY metro area offers is non-existent. But, that's the trade off for living in a QUIET, slow, fairly cheap, laid-back area.
Anyway, welcome, and glad to have you here!

Yo Adam - welcome from near Philly. Are you in range of the JR Cigars in Parsippany? There is a monthly pipe group that meets there. Or are you closer to Bethlehem, where the Lehigh Valley PC meets? In any case, IPSD which is 20Feb gets a bunch of celebrating puffers at JR every year. Also the New York Pipe Show in March takes place by the Newark airport. Hope to see you there.

I'm just on the other side of the Hudson, in NYC.
The New York Pipe Club is quite active. Most members are from Jersey, but the monthly meetings are well-attended. The trip in to Soho Cigar Bar ain't too bad if you can use an NJT / PATH park'n'ride.
