Some of you know I've been pinning away for a pipe made by our Master carver Ron Powell of RdPipes. Well, Ron took pity on me...didn't want to hear or see an old man cry and moan and sit looking wistfully off in to the distance dreaming about what would make life more perfect than it is already. He sent me a message to look in my mailbox...it was Sunday evening about 8PM. My mailbox is a couple hundred feet down a dirt road...no tellin' what is hiding in the woods ready to pounce. So, I went down to my mailbox, flashlight in hand, open my mailbox and sure enough...there was a box in it...from Ron. Skipped up to the house, damn near fell on my face a few times (I'm not that coordinated), hollered for my wife and puppy (Yes, she is included in everything). Opened the box and there it was...my dream come true. I take lousy pictures and these don't do it nearly any justice but here goes..... I'm in LOVE!!!! Yes, it smokes as good as it looks!! I can't thank Ron enough....He also sent me over 2oz. of Stonehaven to break it in with. Ron is lucky that he lives in Texas and not where I live...I'd be slobbering all over him in gratitude. Ron has made my Christmas one that I'll never forget.....He's the MAN!

Ron, you are awesome! What a beautiful pipe and gesture. Walt, you will love how that smokes even more as it breaks in. My RD blasted brandy is front and center in my rotation.

Walt, that is a gorgeous pipe👍👍👍👍👍. May you enjoy for many years of smoking pleasure. Ron is one of the most generous, kind and caring person I had the pleasure of meeting on a prior forum as well as the Patch.
Congratulations to you both, just amazing 🎈🎉🎊🎈🎉🎊🎈🎉🎊

I can't take pictures worth a crap...never get the lighting right or the angles...this pipe actually glows it is so pretty...I'm bragging but not for me, for the pipe...it is spectacular in every way. The chamber holds a lot of tobacco, the stem is just plain gorgeous with it's chocolatey essence that goes so well with the color of the stain...sandblast not rustication,...wow what grain on this pipe! I can't stop running my mouth (actually, fingers) about it...I've shown it to my wife at least 10 times today.
Thanks, just doesn't cover it...but, thanks, Ron...you've added 10 years to my life...cause I ain't goin' anywhere without this pipe.

This pipe smokes like I am dreaming...so smooth that I sometimes wonder if it is still lit...so I puff a little on it and sure nuff it is still lit...until I got to the bottom and wondered is it still lit...sucked in a bit of ash...can't light when there is no more tobacco. Dimensions are 13/4" deep by 1" wide...it is so quiet, like being in a very large library room. I'll probably sleep with this pipe under my pillow...not letting it out of my sight. Insurance? Nope, It'll stay in my hand...it will go where I go, like a trusty hound. In case of evacuation, I'll strap it to my chest with an ace bandage...never let it out of my sight.
