I have been debating whether or not to smoke this WGM for almost two years now or sell it. The lines really appeal to me, but I debate whether to sell it or smoke it. I go back and forth and it sits here taunting me.

Nice lines and a beautiful meer Don. So.... 1. Take it out of its case. 2. Place some of your favorite Wilke' #10 in the bowl. 3. Place flame to the #10. 4. Kick back with your favorite brew, and get to coloring that meer

Smooth, simple, yet beautiful Meerschaum pipe due to the makers design and crisp lines. If you enjoy smoking Meerschaum pipes, light’er up with your favorite tobacco during the holidays.

Maybe some 2015 McClelland Holiday Spirit would be a good match.

Its to pretty not to smoke. Great looking pipe. If the coloring starts at the stem, then flow down into the pipe darker on the bottom blending to white in the middle. Then from the bowl down towards the bottom the same. So darker down the stem, then white fading out to darker on top and bottom. How can you not smoke it?

I believe that it is enough of a work of art to be admired without smoking it. It is your property, do what you like with it. I have a dozen meers and I am not that crazy about how the best of them smoke. I have one meer that I just like the carving and I have no need for another meer to smoke. So it remains unsmoked.

Smoke it or get rid of it! I don't have a pipe in my collection that I don't smoke except for three antiques !

If you don't smoke it doesn't mean you have to get rid of it. It should be enough to be able take it out and admire it every now and again.

If you love it, like to look at it, keep the SOB, I have a Honda Valkyrie, Cruiser, Black and Jade, hard saddlebags, I dropped it 2.5 inches, redid the seat, don’t ride anymore, balance problems, Son says sell it Dad, I said NOPE, it’s paid for and I like to look at it. Some mornings coffee in hand pipe puffing I sit in a chair in barn and just look at it, settles me brings memories, anyway Son will get rid of it when the dirt ceiling gets me.

Be sure and remind him that it's a great machine and appreciating in value.

I will probably start smoking it. Thanks for the meer thread, Pete. I wish they would color faster - so fascinating to see. My Imp Golf Ball was one where I hesitated on smoking. So glad I smoked it as the pipe smokes so well.

It's a handsome piece but the key question is left unsaid: does it sit?
If it's a sitter, get to it, smoke that sucker.

It really is beautiful. I can understand your reservations. So pristine, though meers look so cool when they get to soaking up that baccy.
