Got my cbid haul in. Not bad for $47 shipped.
Plum pudding Davidoff Flake Medallions John cotton #1 Cult abacus Erin go brah Borkham riff bourbon whiskey
Trying to figure out what to smoke first. Thinking of just going straight to the deep end and loading a bowl of plum pudding. Will be firing up the smoker for a Boston butt later this evening and think that would be s good pair.
The abacus has nice tin notes in the area of 1q. The flake medallions smell out of this world.
It’s going to be a great holiday break working through these.

Nice haul! I’ve lately had to avoid cibids, I’m a sucker for auctions as my cbid history will suggest!

That Plum Pudding is simply wonderful...the Flake Medallions are good too. Haven't tried the John Cotton #1, but I'm sure it is great too.

Went with the Davidoff medallions and not regretting it. Really wanted to go with the plum pudding but the Davidoff tin note got the better of me. Sitting under a canopy bringing the smoker up to temp for a couple Boston butts while the cold mist comes down. This pipe is making all the misery of the weather go away.

I can get some Davidoff over in the UK but not flake medallions. Shame, they sound good.

Okay. I still.dont know the whole cbid thing works.. So you go to cigarbid.com and select pipes/tobacco and then sort by what auction is about to end. Need to check prices against P&C since both sites are owned by the same company. You can setup your account to only ship once a week or every day if you wish but most folks just do once a week that way you only incur a single shipping charge for things you won all week.
Sometime you can get tins a couple bucks off, sometime bulk you can shave $5 off. I got a nice pipe stand about 1/2 the price on the site. Other times it is not worth bidding.

Crapgame makes a fair point, especially if certain strategies are not kept in mind. However you can do much better than his quoted savings if you know what you are doing and/or target specific blends. John Cotton blends sell for ~12 at most online retailers. Cbid prices are 4.50- 6.00 + shipping per tin; Others include SPC Seattle Evening &, Potlatch 8 ounce tins ~20-25, RLP 6, MV 1000 etc $11-16 a pd, Captain Black & other OTC blends ~10-20 a can, Warhorse Ready Rubbed ~4.5-6 + shipping per tin etc. For some blends the price ranges stay pretty consistent. However the prices can vary on different items as the number and types of bidders vary. I modified a previous post outlining a few cbid strategies and placed it below.

Below is the post in question (modified): If you are patient there are good deals to be found on cbid, though granted the current one is exceptionally impressive (Plum Pudding 8 ounce tin bottom price now sits at around 25 per tin + shipping). For instance, I pick up Viprati and other good tobaccos on a regular basis for $4-6 dollars before shipping. If you purchase enough tins over a week (set shipping to once a week) the cost for the first item (advertised at 5.95) can be spread over multiple tins. Depending on the size of my order, I have also found the initial 5.95 shipping charge can drop (I have seen it decrease to 4 dollars) .The added 1.00 dollar per tin after the first purchase does not change. Note: If you enjoy cigars one can easily offset the cost with some nice sticks as well. Another trick is to set up your first shipment for every Thursday. I believe you will You have to allow the initial shipment to be sent the next Thursday before considering the following options. The week after it has been shipped on the Wednesday night before (after cigarbid hours and to be safe before 12 pm eastern) your next Thursday shipment is set to go, change your shipping date to Wednesday. This extends the shipping to next week Wednesday. After the Wednesday shipment is sent wait until the following week Tuesday night and change the shipping to Tuesday. The week after the Tuesday shipment is sent, the shortest play is on Monday night where you move from Tuesday to Thursday shipping during the same week. This resets the cycle for future bids. There is a 7 day no shipping date change rule. So you can only extend shipping dates in the above manner. You now have the opportunity to win more tins, be more selective & cautious and extend the initial 5.99 shipping charge over more days and items. Best results are awarded to those who are strategic in how their bid, approach the auctions with patience/caution (Some weeks are better than others as people come and go), know the products (while being diligent with P&C, Tobaccopipes etc. and their sales.)etc. and take it from there. Those who have a broader taste in tobaccos (Aromatics, Latakia and Virginia blends) will also find cbid more useful. There are a limited group of blends on cbid (Typically ~100-150 items (Pipes, blends, accessories) up for bid) and the rotation changes slowly. However if you wish to cellar a few blends or are curious about trying new ones, it cannot hurt to explore the webpage. Also do not forget the short auctions, which are finished the same day the items are listed. Sometimes folks do not follow them as closely. As a result they can end in auction prices that are less than the average. PS Before anyone gets involved or passes judgement please learn about how the auctions work www.cigarbid.com/help/bidding-features/2069130/ Plum Pudding at 40% off online prices is a great opportunity. There are great sales from online stores that one should always watch out for. They can offer products not found on Cbid (which is based on what cigars international offers) as well as prices that can meet or beat some of the Cbid auctions. So being diligent on all fronts is warranted.

Plum pudding has definitely been the star of this haul. Abacus is good in the realm of 1Q. The first bowl of the Borkhum Bourbon was.....uneventful at best.
