We found out this morning that we are going to be grandparents! Our first. Due July 4th. I am beyond happy.

I have 4 and love 'em dearly! But the best part about grandkids is when they get to much you can always give 'em back to mom a and poppa!

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the kind words and wishes. It was pretty cool how they let us know. Everyone had to open a box from my son and daughter in law that had a confetti shooter and a title inside, like grandpa, uncle, great grandma, etc. there is confetti everywhere. My two daughters were crying, great grandpa was telling jokes. It was great. I have had both sons get married this year, one son and one daughter graduate college and then this. A lot of big events going on in our family.

Grandkids are God's reward for not killing your kids. Congratulations, Don. I have become a very patient person, compared to where I started out at with our first son. The trials and tribulations that the boys put us through growing up aged us some and flat out wore me out some times. My daughters were a piece of cake in comparison. Grandkids are absolutely a gift and a bit of a reward for having some of our parenting and teaching stick. |

Found out today it will be a grandson. Did not matter which, to me. I think the ladies were all hoping for a girl. He will be a focus of attention in my wife's family. The first great grandkid for her folks.
