I won't say good luck, because you have the experience and work ethic that you won't need luck. Congrats to you, Jack...knock em dead as the saying goes.

Last day of the working year for me and last day with my present company. I start working for the new company on Thursday, January 3rd.There is nothing wrong with the present company. It was just time for me to move on. I'm looking forward to starting a new company and learning new things Congratulations on the transition Jack, and a Happy New Year to you brother! In my 26+ years as an investigator, I've always enjoyed the work and the people that I met along the way. I've made a few moves during those years too. Sometimes it was for money, sometimes it was for advancing my knowledge in the trade, and sometimes for both. So, have fun at your new position and company. I say fun because, one position I interviewed for, my Regional manager-to-be, asked me her final interview question, "If you could use one word to describe your job, what would that be?" A few seconds past and I told her "Fun. If you're not enjoying what your doing, its time to find something else to do." I started the following week. So, have fun Jack

I am glad you are still able to work. I am hoping to get some kind of writing back together eventually. I'm hoping that I'm going to rally a bit with some warm weather and get back to the old keyboard. I have some basic ideas for a new novel. However when you can't make it out of bed to do simple things for yourself like make a sandwich it's no use. Im wondering what transcription tools are out there thesedays, and if they're of any use at all.

No, "Slip out the back, Jack" for you! Sounds like you're leaving of your own choice and in good graces. That alone is unusual. Congratulations and good luck at the new place!
