Saw this on front page of TobaccoCellar.com of a new user with 1214 lbs of tobacco!!!!!! It would be interesting to know where "Melvinscam" purchased over 1/2 ton of Captain Black Grape from (I guess). You can find Melvinscam posting from time to time over at the "SpeakEasy" forum, and I really can't say anything in regards to the persons credibility and so forth. I've always thought with a last name of "scam," I think one would be a tad on the cautious side regarding future trades

Tobacco cellar is a website open to everyone...including the Feds. when they decide who may owe tax or who may be selling on the black market...not for me, no thanks. Something to ponder before you get your stuff plastered on the internet.

Generally, it is always wise to ponder before speaking or offering info about yourself: “Does this have the potential to be more harm than good?”
And... the internet is just another form of communication.

No way would I post “ what’s in my cellar “! Just sit back, while puffing your pipe, contemplate the possible ramifications . Same as if you post about your Rolex collection!! Somehow a knucklehead gives out your address to a buddy, next is B&E.....it’s happened.

More like 1214 lbs of horse hockey. Besides, I dunno about on line tobacco management. I manage my cellar by smoking the contents.

Now tell me more about this wonderful black market tobacco? no, I don't think that you already paid tax on it...in Florida it is 75% of wholesale which in simple terms means that what I pay for with an e-tailer, would cost me double if I paid for it in Florida. Black market tobacco takes place on ebay..have you noticed the prices of McClelland? Hey, do what you want, I just threw that out there in case you hadn't thought of it yourself...and as far as black helicopters...not in this neighborhood, but doesn't stop someone looking at a forum and seeing what you have as in "what's in your cellar"...doesn't take a genius to know that there is the possibility of someone stealing your stuff.

Sorry I've offended you Sean and Geoff...not trying to tell you to do anything, just a suggestion as to what could happen.

I had to look it up and it is even more insane. Florida is 85% and that is freaking nutz

Black market tobacco takes place on ebay..have you noticed the prices of McClelland? I don't think that can be considered black market. It is tobacco that was legally bought and taxed, and now is being sold from one individual to another.

I agree..that would be a stretch to see taxes excised on a tobacco product that increased in value sold between individuals.

I am referring to the fact that tobacco is regulated and is approved to be sold through specific state controlled channels...ie:
Merriam-Webster definition:
: illicit trade in goods or commodities in violation of official regulations (unless you have a license to sell tobacco)
What is 'Black Market' A black market is economic activity that takes place outside government-sanctioned channels. Black market transactions usually occur “under the table” to let participants avoid government price controls or taxes.

What you are perhaps are thinking is this: ie:
the grey market refers to goods which have been manufactured by or with the consent of the brand owner, but are sold outside of the brand owner's approved distribution channels – which can be perfectly legal.
I am finished with this thread...knock yourselves out! Perhaps I am wrong in my thinking...whatever.

The info I had was that Melvinscam died on New Year’s morning. His daughter caught him cheating on her; she found him with a pygmy biker prostitute and a birdcage full of gerbils. While they slept off the previous night’s festivities, ‘Scam’s jilted daughter moved all of his vintage fireworks collection and black powder reloading supplies to beneath his bed. With one well aimed bottle-rocket the whole place went up in explosions of black cats, roman candles, screaming mimis, whistling bungholes, spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers (with and without the scooter stick), and one single whistling kitty chaser. Little Polly stood and watch the whole show, knowing she held the thing ‘ol ‘Scam love the most in the whole wide world, the box of sparklers used for lighting his old Yellowbowl meerschaum full of Captain Black Grape. So if you see any more posts from Melvinscam, rest assured it is a trolling imposter.
