Yes it was, Larry.
Remember the dining counter at Woolworth’s? I remember the Braunschweiger being heaven sent.

Woolworth's … there's a memory! Soda fountains run by soda "jerks" and hand made ice cream for floats. Also … we are in a small crowd with the Braunschweiger but I'm a fan!
Did you guys have Ben Franklin's? Ours always had the keg of rootbeer in the middle of the store with the top of it full of candy rootbeer "barrels".

My brother was a soda jerk at the old drug store in the Heights. He would bring home the malt machine and ice cream and make malts for the family. The Woolworth soda fountain had balloons and if you popped one with a slip of paper in it you got a free ice cream sundae. We had a Ben Franklin too.

I love liverwurst. We were on a cruise and after a rough night they had liverwurst on the breakfast buffet. I loaded up a piece of rye with liverwurst and mustard. It settled my stomach while everyone around me got a little greener.

I grew up a mile from their factory in Fair Lawn Nj. Always smellled like vanilla wafers when you drove past it.

Zesta Saltines and Club Crackers are the only saltines I like. Irish Creme Butter on a Zesta Saltine is really tasty with a hot cup of Darjeeling or Oolong tea.
