The doctor that I saw for almost 20 years retired.I went to another doctor for a couple of years. Some how we just didn't click. A friend suggested a woman doctor.I saw her yesterday. It went pretty well. She asked me if I smoked.I told her that I smoked a pipe. She asked me how long I had been doing it.I told her almost 50 years. She didn't mention it again..I got a call today..My blood work was all good..So for a 76 year old codger who's been smoking pipes for 48 of those years it seems that I'm hanging in there pretty good.

This should be put on billboards across the country. As one of our members had on their signature, 'pipe smoking is good for you'.
I'm glad you've got a clean bill of health.

Great news. Currently locked in a battle with my VA GP about the pipe. My BP has been border line for years, decades for that matter. It's been spiking somewhat lately and I'm tired of his clean living sermons. Both my grandfather and father were on high blood pressure meds before they passed. For that matter, there were people I worked with who were ten years younger than me now who took a pill with morning coffee. I get it the VA has limited resources; however, nobody cared when I signed up for active duty in an armored cavalry regiment if I smoked. I paid that one forward and he needs to give up.

Good news from the Dr. is always a pleasure to hear. Congrats, Larry on your good results.
My Dr. tells me that my numbers look like a 30 year old...says I could be around to aggravate my wife and others for another 30+ years.

Good news Larry. Last time I went to the Dr he ripped my arse about canceling my appointment, I told him Doc my dog chewed my water line under the house and I had to get a plumber to stop the flood. My Dr and I have a good rapport so he doesn’t mince words, he looks at my wife and says shaking his head is he crazy, she said no Doc he drove the dog crazy!
