Beautiful little pipe. As always, well done sir!
Really diggin' the satin instead of high gloss.

Dave, you have proven that less is more...pipe looks great actually better than great. Keeping that rustic look becomes it...looking rustic it has aged gracefully.

Came out wonderfully. I love old pipes. I have 100+ year old straight razors, and while my oldest pipe isn't quite 100 years old (old Kaywoodie with almost no shank and a stinger), I'm definitely keeping my eye out for older briar

I thought, that's a really cool pipe and good looking, though that stem is weird. Then I realized I was looking at the before pic. Damn dude, that's gorgeous.

Nice job on the restoration. My oldest pipe is a Salmon & Gluckstein with a Sterling Silver band with hallmark dated for 1896. It's a beautiful smoker. I hope that one smokes as well as mine.

I finally got around to cleaning this up. I’ve changed my approach to restoration of classic Brit pipes. I was guilty of over restoring these old burners. I prefer an lightly aged look for these BBB’s. The Briar was hand rubbed with Halcyon for a satin finish. The silver was hand rubbed with ash to leave some patina. And the stem was finished with 800 grit and lightly buffed with a clean dry wheel. I cant spell out the way I am whistling, clapping, and salivating so I will write GREAT JOB, AWESOME LOOKING PIPE!

Great Job, It looks fantastic. If you don't mind me asking, What is Halcyon? Halcyon is a paste wax that can be applied without a buffer. It gives a soft luster instead of the glass-like shine of carnauba. Halcyon is great for sandblasts and rustics too. Thanks for the kind words everyone. I have a 1914 Own Make Army Mount that’s almost complete. Will be posting soon.

Beautiful! My oldest pipe just turned 121 this year. I rarely smoke it as the amber stem is so fragile.
