I didn't take much of any class in high school, even when I was in class but I can sit down right off the bat and hover at about 75wpm .. if I'm doing data entry or taking dictation so I don't have to think about what I'm typing,I generally float around 110wpm.

I find that all keyboards are harder to find the keys on after learning on a typewriter, but the ease of correction makes it worth it. I could play some tunes on a piano, but even our high quality Casio just doesn't meld with me. I have tried most every keyboard made in the past 30 years and the Microsoft 4000 is the best for me.

Index finger, middle fingers and thumb action on both hands with all words spelled incorrectly. I never took typing home economics had more girls and there was food. I can still sew and do most of the cooking around our home. Sewing is a skill I wish I had. I mend some of my clothes by hand and am not good at it. Wish I had a sewing machine and knew how to use it. I wear woolen clothes in winter and they are expensive, so repairs are in order. The days of taking clothes to some lady for mending and patching are over. It is now do it myself or nothing.

Took typing in HS. Ms Horton. I will never forget her or her voice. I wasn't the best but I am able to type properly and that has helped since I am a software developer :-)
