Thanks gentlemen!
Going to take a few days to get acquainted with the place, then I'm sure I'll jump right in. See a few familiar names. Looks like a good mix of dudes.
I was half-joking about the power animal, trying to be cute, but I did meditate on the idea and a spider was the next creature I took special notice of. It crawled out behind an old picture calendar I had kept on account of the art. An old Joseph Campbell calendar of all things, too. Never did kill them. Quite the contrary, I'll leave them to their web-making, at least for a bit.
Wolf, bear, eagle, panther and peacock all resonated with me on some level too.
