Nice pipe. I wouldn't bet that the stem isn't original. They did a lot of different things back then.

Either way it's a good template for a replacement.

Nicely craved pipe. I hope you can get a decent stem for it.

Just picked it up. Stem is definitely NOT original. lol
Maybe the coolest part may be the case. The push lever locking mechanism still works. The pipe was obviously meticulously cared for quite some time.

Either way it's a good template for a replacement. Beautiful old Meer, the old stem is perfect for copying and making one that looks original. I’m sure one of our own pipe repair experts will read this and offer help. May the pipe give you many years of smoking pleasure 👍👍

The stem is not original to that pipe. I recommend that you contact Briarville. They work on meers, which few restorers do, and I've heard nothing but praise for their work.

Mike Myers at Walker Pipe Repair would be another good one.
I got my bearded Meer without a stem at all, and I told him to just make it with the best stem he could come up with... he did a great job, and even did an offset to the stem that has the Meer perfectly straight on as I smoke the pipe.

Thanks ! BTW I sent the Peterson Royal to Anthony for a replacement stem. Looking forward to seeing the replacement he creates.
