I've only been smoking a pipe since November, and I've got myself a meager collection of pipes. From left to right, I have a basket bent briar, a MM Charles Towne Cobbler, MM Legend, and Peterson Killarney 106. Though they each have their merits, I've yet to bond with one. Perhaps its just the start of PAD, but I'm finding myself looking at some bent Bulldog style pipes. I was curious if anyone had any recommendations. Currently I'm looking at the BriarWorks Bullmoose (C111) but I'm not sure if I want to invest that much money in a pipe yet. Any suggestions, or comments on the BriarWorks Bullmoose (especially regarding their dark blast finish) would be welcome!

Just keep an eye on whether it's a filter pipe or not.

That's a nice looking pipe for the price. I might have to pull the trigger on one.

Here is a bent bulldog for you...he is a Marine.. .Bulldog is covered...a little bent, when you consider his humor...not for sale, but the Arizona Pipe Club rents him out. Seriously though, hard to beat a well executed Bulldog...keep your eye out for a GBD...if you are patient, they can be had reasonably...and if they look like they have been smoked heavily...there is a reason that happened, and a professional cleaning/ restoration can do wonders restoring it to it's former glory.

I appreciate the offer dave g, but I feel like I've been on the receiving end of too much generosity from this forum already! Out of curiosity, where abouts in WV are you located? I'm originally from near Hurricane before spending a few years in Tucson, AZ and finally settling in Knoxville, TN.
That Molina looks very interesting. I came across it (or one similar) while browsing but couldn't find much information on them. Do they look as good in person as they do in the photos?

All mine have come in looking as expected. I've been happy with them all. Even Russ Ouellette has had good things to say Molina pipes.

"Bent" has a very particular meaning in British English. Just sayin'. With the bulldog connection and all.

I have a Parker rusticated bent bulldog that is a great smoker. I got it in a clearance sale from a shop that was liquidating all but a few pipes and tobaccos.

I've definitely been drooling over some Savinellis, but most of them have been a bit more of an investment than I'm prepared to make just yet.

Check out Peterson (non filter), Rattray's (9mm filter) and Savinelli (6mm filter). All three have a really big selection of bent bulldogs .

Are you still looking? I've got a lightly smoked Peterson Kinsale XL15 that I'd let go for a good price. Shoot me a PM if interested!

From what I can see from the picture, that is pretty nice grain for a basket pipe. As mentioned check out eBay, there are bent bulldog styled pipes posted all the time. Some of them are new. If you are unsure of the quality or an appropriate price, simply ask the folks here before bidding/buying.

This is my Peterson Shannon 80s smooth bent dog with a vulcanite stem. One of the best pipes I've ever owned. I paid less than 100 for it on SP.

A bulldog, bent or otherwise, along with its kissing cousin, the Rhodesian (gotta love the name), are among my favorite shapes. The Tobacco Pipes link looks great for the money, but not familiar with the maker. I only have one Briar Works pipes; while a touch on the small side, it's a fantastic smoker - and sometimes it's not all about size (::cough, cough: . Peterson and Savinelli are also amongst my favorite makes and doubt you will go wrong with either.
