If it’s a real good smoker have another stem made. A few members of the Patch can accommodate you👍👍. That’s why I use rubber bits now!! Good luck👍

I had that happen to one of my best Radices. It isn't as simple as having a new stem made. 😭😭💩😢👹

Shame. A rubber bit sounds like a good idea.

Well, that was disappointing I'm sure. Another reason to buy more pipes!

Judas Priest man! What size pipe cleaner did you try and shove down that poor thing? By the looks of the crack down the stem it must have been a big'en. Stems can be fairly expensive to have replaced because its a PITA doing it, I would suggest just popping it in a drawer and going on to the next unless it was a phenomenal smoker.

Agree with everyone else. I bet a rubber bit would help that.

It wasn't anything other than an ordiary, soft bristle pipe cleaner. I've used the same ones for all my pipes since I've been smoking. I have no idea why it did it or even how. Just one of those things.

I agree with Ted and Geoff. If it's a good smoker and one you like, I'd have a new stem made. Some of my favorite pipes are ones for which I paid the least and wouldn't win any beauty contests.

Just one of those things. Must have been a hairline in it from a previous drop or something because they aint gona do that just from a pipe cleaner and clenching too hard. I hope you don't use bristle ones all the time, they tend to be a little harsh on draft holes in my opinion. I only use them when a pipe is pretty dirty and nothing else will do.

Oh, and for the record, I was being facetious about how big of a cleaner you used. It certainly take a pretty ridged and large cleaner to do that..........and maybe a hammer to help.

I would get a stem for it. A good smoker is more important to me than name brand or price point.

Maybe buy a "crap on a cracker" cheapo pipe with a good stem, save the stem and drive on?
